Ayer Tawar is a small town 15 km from Sitiawan and 25 km from the famous resort of Lumut. It was primarily a rubber town and has slowly transformed itself into one of the more vibrant rural townships of Perak and is today well known for its unique Chinese Fuzhou cuisine.
